The spanish soprano Maria del Mar, born in Barcelona, began her vocal formation with soprano Maria Teresa Garrigosa, and in parallel did her University Diploma in Onchologic-Nurse. Later on she moved to The Nederlands to received vocal coaching by Prof. Peter Harrison and graduated in Classical Music-Singing at the “Royal Conservatorium of Music in den Haag”. Currently Ms. Humanes resides between Spain and Germany where she realizes her Master in Voice Performance at the Folkwang Universität der Kunste with Prof. Miss R.Robins. Maria del Mar also receives coaching on opera style from Mariella Devia and on ArtSong from Helmut Deutsch.
She made her operatic debut with the world première of the opera “Medea” by Tania Sikelianou at the National Theater Institute of the Netherlands (Amsterdam), where she also collaborated with the Netherlands National Opera Accademy and with the Dutch National Opera. She has belonged to OperaStudio Madrid and also the Barcelona OperaStudio. Engagements include Despina in Cosí fan Tutte and Zerlina in Don Giovanni by Mozart, Lucy in the opera of Kurt Weil Driegröschenopern, Frasquita in Carmen by G.Bizet, Amor and Euridice in Orfeo by C.W.Gluck, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, 1st Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Aspasia in Mozart opera Mitridate Re di Ponto,, Cleopatra in Giullio Cesare and Morgana in Alcina by G.F.Händel, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera by G.Verdi… Among her oratorio repertorie she has sung Vivaldi‘s Gloria, the St. Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach, Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, Mendelssohn’s Lobegesang, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi and Rossini, Messiah by G.F. Händel, Die Schöpfung, by J.Haydn…
Maria del Mar is also a passionate and committed recitalist and chamber musician, having a stable Lied Duo with pianist Maxim Shamo (Duo Aedea), with upcoming recitals in Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal and The Netherlands… This duo belonged in season 2016-2017 to the young artist program International Udo Reinemann Masterclasses on the Art of Lied in Belgium. She has worked in lied masterclasses and private settings with Dalton Baldwing, Roger Vignoles, Helmut Deutsch and Burkhard Kehring.
Winner of Conchita Badia Contest 2014, Camerata Sant Cugat XIII in 2016, finalist in several international constests, she was sellected in the 50th Aniversary of Mozarteum Sommerakademie within the Duo Aedea as emerging artists in ArtSong. Ms. Humanes has in her season 2017-2018 upcoming engagements in Spain, Italy, Germany (country opera debut with Titania in The Fairy Queen by H.Purcell), Portugal, The Netherlands…, and the première of “Un Paseo por los Jardines de España” and “Women Portraits” in a tourneé over Europe.
